Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how FB Marketplace Pro collects, uses, and shares information when you use our Chrome extension and related services.

Effective Date: February 25, 2026

Last Updated: February 25, 2026

1. What the Extension Does

FB Marketplace Pro helps users capture listing details from webpages and assist with creating Facebook Marketplace listings.

    2. Information We Collect

We collect only the data needed to provide extension features, including:

    • Account/authentication data (for example, API key, session/auth tokens, profile metadata).
    • Listing data you capture or edit (for example, title, price, description, images/image URLs, VIN, make/model/year, source URL, status).
    • User settings and preferences.
    • Technical/diagnostic data (limited logs and error information needed for reliability and support).

    3. How We Use Information

    We use information to:

    • Authenticate your account and validate subscription/access.
    • Save and sync captured listings and preferences.
    • Enable listing capture and Facebook form-assist workflows.
    • Provide optional AI-assisted listing enrichment when you use that feature.
    • Improve reliability, security, and performance.

    4. Chrome Permissions and Why We Request Them

We do not use remotely hosted executable code to run extension logic. Extension code is packaged with the extension.

    • `storage`: save settings, cached auth/session state, and captured listing drafts.
    • `alarms`: run periodic background maintenance, such as subscription/session checks.
    • `activeTab`: access the currently active tab after user action.
    • `scripting` (if enabled): run extension-packaged scripts for capture/form-assist features.
    • Host permissions: access pages required for capture workflows and Facebook Marketplace assistance.

    5. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal data.

We may share data only with service providers needed to run the product, such as backend/database providers, AI processing providers used through our backend for enrichment features, and hosting/infrastructure providers for service delivery and security.

We may also disclose data if required by law or to protect legal rights and security.

      6. Data Retention

      • Local extension data is kept until you delete it or uninstall the extension.
      • Server-side data is retained as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
      • You can request account/data deletion by contacting us.

      7. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

        8. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your data.

        • Update or remove saved data in the extension.
        • Uninstall the extension to remove local stored data.
        • Contact us for deletion or privacy requests.

        9. Children's Privacy

This extension is not directed to children under 13 (or equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

          10. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

            11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a revised Last Updated date.
